Why is the anime bleach called bleach?!

Bleach means 2 things:
1. Ichigo's hair. His hair was naturally orange, but people thought he bleached his hair and disliked it. He also was the attention of his teachers, mainly because of the hair. (bleached hair = bad boys)
2. The Shinigami world. Shinigamis cleanse souls by removing the evil heart, purifying them so that these souls could enter Soul Society. It applies the bleach thing as bleach = remove dirt, clothes become clean.
His hair is bleached.
I wondered that for a long time but them i found out most poeple say its cause his hair is bleach but the makers said it is because they are soul reapers and by bringing them to peace it is actually called bleaching the souls ^_^
I guess because a shinigami's job is to "cleanse" the world of hollows and roaming spirits. Bleach is used to clean stuff so they used it as title because it's a short word and can be easily remembered while being in line with a shinigami's job.
If you go with this theory then all their troubles will end if they completely bleached the world of evil spirits and enemies. I hope i have bleached your curiosity. (pun intended)
When soul reapers clean the hollows souls it 'bleachs' out the badness in the souls
I believe it's one of a few things. A)The bleaching or cleansing of pluses by soul reapers B)The color of Ichigo's hair, or C)A reference to the fact that in the 1st episode Ichigo bleached Rukia of her powers by taking them all.
