Shrek 4 & 5?!
Question: I liked the first two shrek movies, I've not seen the third one but it doesn't look very good. One of the next two movies is meant to be about how shrek got to his swamp. I only like the movies because of donkey, the other characters are pretty boring and so are the films if they didn't have him. What does everyone else think.

I think they should leave it alone now ! They are making one about Puss in boots the cat which I think would be very funny as Antonio Banderas is still doing the voice thats coming out in 2010 along with Shrek 4 and they are making a tv movie called Shrek the Halls now. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000104/ info on this web site.

unfortunately, hollywood has the impression that the public absolutely LOVES to see 3rd, 4th or even 5th installments of movies that had big box office sales the first time around. they also don't realize after a really good first movie, the material, characters and plain overall story gets really old, really fast. if there are 4th and 5th installments of shrek, then hollywood is wasting some million dollars on nothing.
I liked shrek 3 but 4 and 5 would be overkill.
I think they need to let a franchise die. The first and second movies were alright, but the third was dreadful. Not funny, and that whiny Arthur kept popping up through the whole thing to make it WORSE. I think I laughed only once during the whole lame thing. I doubt I'll go and see any further Shrek movies, unless they receive rave reviews AND a trusted friend recommends them. So I rather hope they won't make any more.
Oh, and I definitely agree with you about donkey.
I don't know, I pretty much like everything about shrek (story, characters, so on) but I do think they should have finished with it in the third movie.
I hope they won't do 4 and 5 - I mean, Shrek was great, but even after the second movie I could not imagine a third!
I really like all Shrek movies. To my mind the third was the best, cause it was deeper and had more romance in it. (Shrek kids were so cute!!!) About the next installments I know that they are going to make Puss in the Boots as the 4th part. But it is clear that the story will evolve around the Cat.
I think making more would be a mistake, unless they are making them strickly for DVD release for kids. I would not want to watch a Shrek movie without Donkey either, then the movie would have to have donkey as a kid or something. I would not pay to see any more shrek movies, and have somewhat seen the 3rd its pretty cool, and lame at the same time.
I liked the first 2, not seen the 3rd - is it out on dvd monday? I heard the ywere bringing out a 4th didn't know about a 5th. I agree donkey's hilarious
