His creation somehow symbolizes the average American family. You have homer who is the lazy underpaid father that is constantly disappointing his kids. Then there is Marge the over protective mother. And then Lisa, the genius f the family or the little voice in our head that tells us what is wrong. Then Bart is the adventurer in all of us. And Maggie, well Maggie is everyone innocence.
