Anyone else annoyed how much they made Rogue a sissy in the X men movie?!

Question: She just kicked so much A-s-s in the cartoon (the real cartoon not evolutions).

Answers: She just kicked so much A-s-s in the cartoon (the real cartoon not evolutions).

Hi! The movie are based on the comics, not the cartoons. The cartoon had stories and characters different from the comics. Originally, Rogue was a teen mutant who absorbed life force, energy (whatever you want to call it) and if the contact was for a long time the victim's psyche. If the victim was a mutant she could absorb their power for a limited time. Rogue was originally a villian who helped her foster mother Mystique. In one of their attacks to Ms. Marvel, Rogue held Ms. Marvel so long that all her memories, abilities and powers became Rogue's. Then she gained super strength, flight and invulnerability. The Rogue from the movies have yet to gain those powers, so she's still an energy-draining mutant.

I know, I was so annoyed that she had to be always protected either by her new boyfriend guy or by Wolverine. It's totally NOT cool, she should be just like in the cartoon.

And she can't fly, I'm absolutely angered by that.

Well, the reason she kicked *** in the cartoon was because they made her sexy and gave her Miss Marvel's powers. It's a good thing they didn't overpower her by giving her all of those abilities since it would cause balancing issues for the enemies they faced in the movies. Still would have like an older more seductive Rouge though.

Yes! I was very disappointed with how they depicted Rogue in the X-Men movies. They gave no acknowledgment to her super strength or her ability to fly given to her when she absorbed Ms. Marvel's power. Plus they had her portrayed as being at a late-teen age, when in the books she was portrayed as being in her late twenties.

When i went to go see Xman for the first time i was so excited, but then i saw that beast and Morph were MIA and that cyclops was kind of a wimp(which i tolerated since i never really liked him.) then i saw that rogue was this teen privileged teen that runs away from her problems... i was annoyed that nothing seemed to stay the same. It's one thing to make rogue into a weak teenage girl.....it another to keep her that way in all three xman films. I totally hated her in the third installment!
