If you were to take over a Spider-Man title right now, how would you write it?!

Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Senasational Spider-Man

One of these.

Answers: Amazing Spider-Man
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Senasational Spider-Man

One of these.

The first thing I'd have to do is throw out all the junk that's been done in the comic for the past several years, including the idiocy associated with Civil War (such as his identity being revealed). I think the best approach to Spider-Man is a back-to-basics approach, with classic villains, interwoven with his own personal issues/problems. That's always been the best formula for the character in the past.

Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

You owe me a best answer, i gave you one!

I'd want Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and I'd create a storyline that focused on one little street scene for about a month. You'd get to know some families and business owners, and watch a couple of young friends get sucked into a street gang, one reluctantly, the other with a manic glee that smacks of budding supervillaindom. Spidey's presence here would be as the "monster" of the piece, as he embarks on cleaning up the neighborhood, smacking the bejeezus out of the gangbangers and trying to terrify the youngsters out of a life of crime. Complications ensue for the run of the story arc. Our ironic ending involves the semi-virtuous kid making the conscious choice to embark on a criminal career and the Electro-wannabe fleeing to the safety of his family. Peter angsts. The end.

Friendly Neigh. Spiderman. I would write a story line addressing what happens when P. Parker tries to mend the relationships he had with people who felt betrayed by him when he revealed himself to be Spider-man ( J Jonah Jameson, Robbie Robertson etc.) That would be an interesting story to tell.

All the titles would have some kind of story that culminates in Spidey waking from a fevered dream. All the events of the past years that included Ben Reily, Dr Seward, etc, would all have just been part of that nightmare and never really existed. Spiderman's identity, with the few exceptions of Harry, Eddie, MJ, Daredevil, would still be secret. Then just move on from there.
