But I would think a pistol shot, because getting "hacked with a samurai sword" would result in a great, larger, more open wound, causing you to lose more blood and more vital organs to be damaged.
You'd have to get shot multiple times with a pistol to lose that much blood, unless, as the user above me stated, you were shot in the heart, in any of your major blood vessels, such as the femoral artery, or your head... in which case, would result in immediate death, leaving no room for recovery, lol.
