How many books do the Death Note movies cover?!
Question: I've seen both movies and would like to try the books (I've never read manga before) but want some new storylines. Any suggestions? Or has like no one seen these movies in the USA but me?

The movies cover most of the series, but they also take alot of stuff out like the characters in the second half of Death Note. The main guys that they left out were Near(N) and Mello(M), who are the successors of L, who is killed in a chapter around the 50's. L dies in the middle of the manga while Light survives. So you should read the whole manga series to find out how Death Note really ends. Or you can watch the episodes. I think there are around 40 episodes.
