Naruto is definately Shonen thus Shonen jump. That is who publicates Naruto in Japan and here. shonen is more gory and action. Bleach, FMA, Naruto, DBZ, all of those are more Shonen type.
Shoujo is more for girls and is like Sailor moon and Mew Mew. They have more girlish colors like pink and purple and baby type colors. They don't have much fighting either. These also have big bubbly eyes. Well... better chance then Shonen.
They are two different genres and also drawing styles.They are both aimed for the different sexes too. Though a lot of girls tend to like shonen more than shoujo... like me!!!

Shonen is a type of anime or manga that is suppose to be aimed for BOYS because of the violence (even though that girls usually are the ones that mostly watches it).
