I loved those too! Wasn't the martian guy the greatest? I also catch myself saying to others sometimes "I will hug him and squeeze him and call him George!" from the big white monster who used to think Bugs was his new pet. Most people don't know what I'm talking about because many of my coworkers are 15 years younger than me!
I've seen them on Boomerang too. Maybe you could try looking up "Looney Tunes" on line and see if they have a schedule and channels posted?

Th-th-th-that's all folks!

Boomerang network.

Boomerang on Direct TV!

i remember Yosemite Sam

yes siree bob dunno ? tom and jerry best cartoon ever

Those old cartoons were great. I loved Casper the Friendly Ghost, Bugs Bunny, Bullwinkle and Rocky - so many. Wouldn't it be great if someone got smart and started up a classic cartoon station? They'd probably make a fortune.

EDIT: You mean there is one called Boomerang? BooHoo, I have dish network, not direct tv.

They have a cable network called Boomerang, which is owned by Cartoon Network. They show almost all the old cartoons. I can't say why regular networks don't show them anymore. Probably not enough action and violence. I can't think of anything more violent than Wile E. Coyote getting a safe dropped on him, but whatever...

Disney has pulled all of their old cartoons back into the archives ( I smell a movie ). Sometimes in the middle of
the night some of the old ones will come on The Cartoon
Channal. Most of them have gone to DVD so yah gotta
go looking.

What happened was the ever watchful "ones who fear _everything_" have made these classics unacceptable...too violent, you see. Some (mythical) child may actually try to stretch his cat to 6 or 8 feet long or attempt to run directly up a tree.
On the good side of things, the new toons are peace and love with static characters and stop-motion background drawings..o wait, that's not so good then, is it?

Really, you can still purchase some but not all of the classics on DVD but they are becoming rather hard to find in my area.

Bugs Bunny rules, BTW and in case you didn't know. The uncensored BB toons were better than T&J in my book and FAR FAR FAR better than the current offerings on Sat mornings.

You can find the Warner's Brother's classic cartoons as shorts between movies on Turner Classic Movies on Saturdays. They will also give you some interesting trivia about the cartoon.

I grew up watching them too!. I've looked all over for free sites to watch them and can't find anywhere to watch full episodes. Here's a couple links that you might like.

Most modern kids don't find them funny or entertaining so they are put on Boomerang Network or completely taken of the air

They're old right,so they probably retired....
