How come NO ONE that Clark Kent works with at The Daily Planet, notices that he !

Question: It's understandable that everyone else on Planet Earth doesn't recognize Superman as Clark Kent, since Clark Kent only lives in one place, but the people that work at the Daily Planet with Clark Kent, SHOULD recognize that he is Superman.

Answers: It's understandable that everyone else on Planet Earth doesn't recognize Superman as Clark Kent, since Clark Kent only lives in one place, but the people that work at the Daily Planet with Clark Kent, SHOULD recognize that he is Superman.

1. It is more than just the glasses. Clark carries himself differently, walks differently speaks in a different manner. It is similar to when you see a TV show or a movie and you suddenly realize that you know one of the actors from something else but they are playing such a different type of character that you didn't recognize them at first.

2. Clark was raised on Earth and acts like a normal person would. It is common knowledge however that Superman is an alien and people would tend to look for something more unusual.

3. Their is no reason for the average person to believe that Superman has a secret identity.

4. Superman and Clark Kent have both been seen together at the same time thanks to his shape shifter friends like Supergirl and the Martian Manhunter and if I am not mistaken I believe Superman also has a holographic projector he has used on occasion when he needed his alternate identity to make an appearance.

You can't the eye glasses are the perfect disguise! hahaha

Because they're friggin stupid!

The glasses man! The GLASSES!....and that cute little hair curl on his forehead.

It's because he wears eyeglasses. Don't you know that all you need to do to disguise yourself is put on glasses and a tight costume with a cape? Why does he wear a cape anyway? Does it help him fly better? Oh, as for him going missing all the time, they think he has a problem with his bowels. I mean take off glasses. Ugh you know

He wears glasses.

It has everything to do with personality. When people look at Clark they see a mild mannered nobody that is efficient at his job. When they look at Superman they see a demi-god that has done things that has gained him a mythical status. It doesn't register because the thought of these two different people being one is kind of rediculous. All that in addition to the fact that it is only by dramatic irony that the reader knows that Superman has an alter ego. If you didn't know that Superman had an alter ego would the thought even cross your mind that he dresses up like someone else every day or would you just think that he chills out in the fortress of solitude all day. Not to mention those thick rimmed glasses.

At least with the Christopher Reeve movies, they always made a point of having Clark Kent hunched over forward, which has both the effect of making him look meek, and making him seem a few inches shorter.

I will be the first to say that the Superman/Clark Kent identity is the most unbelieveable secret identity since is requires people not to recognize that Clark Kent looks just like Superman except he has glasses. So, why hasn't anyone at the Daily Planet who has pretty frequent contact with both identities recognize Clark to be Superman? Not too long ago in a Superman comic, the answer was sort of revealed.
Superman does have an additional mental ability that he uses very carefully. When someone stares at Clark and tries to connect his face with Superman, they are unsuccessful because Superman uses a mind block. A comparison to this effect would be if you drove by the same tree every day and then finally notice that the tree was fake. Or if you are frantically looking for your pen and forget to realize that it's on your ear. This is why when most people made conncetions between Clark and Superman, it didn't involve how much they look alike.

Mild mannered Clark Kent uses his heat vision to gives lobotomies and burn out the portion of their brains that would identify him as Superman.

Also, Kent's awkwardness is what causes disbelief that he could be as suave as Superman.

Because reporters are not observant. They don't get paid to look at normal guys they work with, they get paid to WRITE LIES!!!!

Sadly enough their all idiots. but as Clark Kent he seems to have very little self esteem, but as superman he's over confidant. but that really depends on what show or comic your looking at

Becouse the writer's dont want any one he works with aside from his wife to know who he is.
