He's not my "absolute" favorite, that title goes to The Batman
but I do like Superman, He's the "first" superhero in the classic definition of the word, the template by which all the others were modeled after. I love all his abilities, flight being the #1. He's endured all these years, even w/ the over saturation of comicbook characters nowadays. He's the Godfather of superheroes....but Batman is the man.

NaH SORRY supergirl is much cooler.thanks bye

Well, Spider-Man is my favorite. Superman is a tough character to write and plot storylines. Back in the 90's, after restarting the character after Crisis of Infinite Earths, The stories were cool cause the plot involved him thinking on his feet and finding ways with his powers to beat his enemies, not just those as strong as him, but normal humans giving him a hard time. Lately, before Infinite Crisis, all the writers had him do was fight and fight and fight guys that were in his weight class. How can a character grow if all he does in each issue is the same brawl in each one. However, after Infinite Crisis, the writers have been giving Superman a run for his money, not all, and slowly becoming my favorite again.

nah, cuz he's weak compared to Dragonball Z warriors, if he was to go up against Goku he'd die after a few punches.

Superman rocks almost unbeatable!!

He is one of my favorites, but not THE favorite (that title belonging to a hero that Superman once teamed up with, He-Man). Of course, he's known to be the first superhero (debuting in 1938), but he inspires people and other heroes around him with his "never-give-up" attitude.
He's also teamed up with heroes both in the DC Universe and outside of it, learning from them as well. Heroes like Spider-Man, the Hulk, Silver Surfer, Gen13, etc.
