Cosplay Help!?!

Question: Well I am planing on getting a Cosplay soon, and I have narrowed it down to these final few. =3

Demyx: From KingdomHearts2. Just because he is adorable, and we pretty much act the same.

Cloud: From FinalFantasy. I have pretty much have his whole "Imma be Emo by leaning on this wall" down pat lol.

Roxas: From KingdomHearts2. What can I say I adore the little 'Mini Cloud'.

Kakashi: From Naruto. Everytime I joke around acting like him my friends start to crack up, so I thought why not get a cosplay of him lol. XDDD

Anyway what do you think would be the best cosplay choice out of those?

I would think for the most basic cosplay (meaning you don't have to go through a whole hassle getting fancy accessories etc.) would be kakashi and for me I think the coolest would be Cloud
.... Cloud's cosplay is rather hard if you're going to make it

Usually when I decide on who I'm going to dress up as, I keep in mind how difficult the costume would be to create. This can work to your advantage in two ways:

1) the more detail a costume requires the better it will look if done right.

2) the more detail a costume requires, the more difficult it will be to create

From the listing you selected, here's my opinion on the costume and difficulty rating:

Demyx
Probably the easiest of the bunch, especially if you don't use the instrument as a prop (but remember that more detail is more impressive with his weapon if you decide to do this costume). All you would need to do, really is find and modify a cloak pattern (check Simplicity and McCall's websites, I'm sure they would have something that would work really well) to have a large zipper and the shape of the hood required. Tight black pants and some black knee-high boots and voila, you have your costume.

Cloud (PSone) - baggy black pants and a black mock turtle neck (minus the sleeves) start this piece very easily. What makes this one difficult is all the additional stuff such as the belt, wrist braces, pauldron, and the sword (this is one of the few times I will ever say that a prop is absolutely a MUST!) If you're good at making pieces as you go with fabric (a.k.a. "winging it") and have a good hand with sculpy clay the additonal pieces shouldn't be too much of a problem. Oh, and hairgel hairgel hairgel.

Cloud (Advent Children) - Black baggy pans, the hair and the sword are just about the only thing that this Cloud has in common from the one from the game. A black vest would work well for the top, and once again I would recommend winging it for the accessories. The pauldron, however, would be a bit more difficult.

Roxas - All in all, I would say that this is probably the second easiest costume to do if you're good at sewing and modifying existing pieces and would get easy points for detail. It consists of two high-necked jackets, the outer one needing some detail (that could be sharpied or painted on as a desperate, last minute move). Take an existing pair of pants and cut off the legs off in the pattern his pants have, leaving 1 to 1-1/2 inches for a seam and overlap. Then, with some extra fabric (possibly the same material as the top piece) fashion the legs of the pants. Add some button snaps and you have his pants. Shoes will be difficult to find (but easy to BS, really, so long as you have red shoe laces), but the wrist band and zipper decoration could probably be found at your local Hot Topic. The finger decorations could be done using black and white electrical tape. Once again, this costume would require a large amount of hair gel.

Kakashi - First, let me start off by saying that the vest is a major pain to make. This is what makes this costume the most difficult, in my opinion. My husband went as one of the characters from Naruto last year for an anime festival and it was difficult to put together even with a "perfect vest" to use as a base. Here's a breakdown of what we did: The headband and spiral patches are available from Hot Topic. You could probably find them on ebay or amazon.com or another online retailer if necessary. Black sweatpants (not too baggy, not too tight), black sweatshirt (with the sleeves rolled up). White cloth will be important to wrap around the ankles and right thigh. An easy way to do the gloves is to purchase fingerless bike gloves. I have seen the face mask done two different ways: 1) using a stretchy material, sew a mask that will fit your face 2) using thin black fabric, wrap it around in the same shape as Kakashi's mask. Either will work well for him (though it's traditional to do the first one). For the vest, I recommend starting with an actual vest in he right color and sewing on the collar, shoulder pads, and scroll pockets. That's where the detail comes in, but is totally worth it if done right.

Personally, out of these costumes, I would pick the Roxas because it's easy to make that costume well.

i choose cloud
