try Beck. it's cool.....definitely NOT for kids and i like it alot. and if you like j-pop, i looooovvvveeee High and Mighty Color.... they rock.... one song you might know is the latest opening theme song from bleach......the latest on cartoon network anyway. but they do a lot of pretty songs too....not just the hard stuff...and their CD Goover is available in the US ...hope this helps

full moon wo sagashite has alot of music in it that the main character herself sings and writes and they're really good. some songs in that anime r eternal snow, new future, and myself. they're all really good and there's i think 52 episodes.
