For the person who said there both stupid cartoon charecters, you are dumb and stupid and need to get off this secton off Yahoo Answers. Spiderman and Batman are Comic Book characters NOT cartoon. lol noob.
As for whose better, it depends how you compare them. In a fight, Spiderman would win. You have to take into account that Batman actaully as no superpowers. He is just a good guy trying to save the city he loves, and teach people that one man can make a difference.
Spiderman was just some nerd that got bit by a spider, there was actually never anything special about him. He was given a power and he fortunatly used it for the good of his city.
Batman has a cooler suit, Spiderman can fling webs. Both better in better ways. Batman is more realistic and Spiderman is just a cool thing to imagine. Tons of people will compare the two, and probably choose Spiderman since he has powers, but in the end there both awesome.
To settle your argument, Batman is actually a better superhero. He was trained as a ninja and that is all he has in the ways of powers. Peter Parker would be nothing if he was never bitten by that Spider. So spiderman was given his power whereas Batman never had any making him better since he doesn't need powers to fight his enemies.

neither. batman is lame because he has no powers and only has money, a butler, and lame weapons. spiderman's costume is the worst i've ever seen and he's so weak, all he can do is shoot webs.
