So why dose sasuke go to the sound ninja?!
Question: Sasuke goes to Sound because:
1. Power. Orochimaru had promised to give him the power to defeat Itachi. Although the price for it is his body will become Orochimaru's new vessel. This is made in hope to get Mangekyou Sharingan (through other means), or become stronger in any way.
2. To cut off the relationship with Konoha. He found out that being in a relationship only made him weaker, as opposed to his initial ambition to kill Itachi and avenge his clan. He felt that if he stayed longer in Konoha, he would eventually forget about killing Itachi, and this is not what he wanted.
3. Other reasons that either kept in the dark, or mere theories. =^_^=

Becuase Orochimaru promised to give him enough power that would enable Sasuke to kill Itachi. But Orochimaru is doing all of this so he can have Sasuke's sharingan after he failed to obtain Itachi's.
I think that it is mainly because he wants to be more powerful to defeat his brother. But Naruto becoming so much stronger in such a short time might have also made him feel like he was to weak also. All I really know is that when he did I wanted to scream and smack in the back of the head!!!! I'm like NOOOO Sasuke how could you!?!!?! He is so my favorite character :(
sasuke goes with the sound ninja to orochimaru because he wants power at any cost, to kill his brother, itachi and then revive his clan.
Well it was a perfect oppertunity for Sasuke to gain power and become more stronger so he can avenge his clans genoside by killing Itachi.
And Orachimaru (the founder of the Sound) was keeping an eye on him for soo long to get Sasuke's body and the Blood Line Trait, the sharingan to himself. And he offered Sasuke to make him stronger and promised he'll be able to defeat Itachi by joining him.
It's all a big plot, started at the Chuinin exam our team 7 participated in.
what happened:
Orachimaru sabotages the chunin exam and gives sasuke the cursed seal, which interfiers with his normal ability and makes him suffer.
Sasuke sees how stronger Naruto is by defeating the Ichibi. And also he sees how his brother, Itachi is more interested in Naruto but not in him and he couldn't even lay a finger on Itachi.
On the roof top battle Sasuke sees how powerful Naruto's Rasengan is compared to his chidori.
The Sound's Four fights with Ssasuke and tells him, when he's unable to defeat them that Orachimaru gave them power and they are offering him to be Orachimaru's subordinate and their leader by gaining Orachimaru's power.
Sasuke goes with the Sound's Four to get power and control the Cursed Seal by Oracimaru, solely to get stronger to fight Itachi.
That's the juice of it but it's one of the driving plot of Naruto.
He was seduced by Orochimaru because Orochimaru said he can make Sasuke stronger, and Sasuke wanted to overcome his brother's powers, without killing his best friend. Sasuke also wanted to show his brother that he was better, and prove to the world that he was a good and strong Uchia.
Ya like everone else said he wants power to beat his brother because he wants payback for what he did to his whole clan.
