Did anyone in here use to watch the Transformers cartoon?!

Optimus Prime was a robot on Cybertron formerly known as Orion Pax.
During the Great War in the year 2005. Prime battled Megatron and met his fate. He passed the Autobot Matrix of Leadership to Ultra Magnus. Before he died he mentioned that an Autobot would rise from their ranks and light their darkest hour. The Matrix was then stolen from Ultra Magnus on the planet Junkion by Galvatron who is actually Megatron rebuilt by the robot planet devourer, Unicron. During the final battle when Cybertron was in danger from being consumed, The Autobot, Hot Rod, wrested the Matrix from Galvatron and destroyed Unicron, thus lighting their darkest hour. In the process he was transformed into the new Autobot leader Rodimus Prime. These events happen in the animated version of Transformers: The Movie.
The series after that would be the 3rd season and it shows the adventures of the Autobots under the leadership of Rodimus Prime. It starts off with the 5 part storyline called The Five Faces of Darkness. In part of the story arc, we learn that the masters of the Transformers are acutually The Quintessons.
Then the episode after the end of the 3rd series would be The Return of Optimus Prime. A scientist, Jessica Morgan and her partner are in space testing a new kind of heat resistant metal alloy. In the process, they stumble across a spaceship which has Optimus Prime's body. Jessica and her partner rescue his body but in the process, discover some kind of mutant spore on the ship. Her partner and her father research the spore and discover that it induces hate amongst all sentient beings and want to infect the Autobots. Soon a madness plague spreads and infects living being on Earth. During this time, Rodimus manages to recover Optimus' body and instructs Sky Lynx to seek a Quintesson to bring Optimus back to life, which the Quintesson does. They then repair the survivors and uninfected Autobots. They coat Optimus with the heat resistant metal and he recovers the Matrix from an infected Rodimus. Optimus then enters the Matrix to seek the wisdom of the Ancient Autobot Leaders. He then finds the answer to the cure which would the accumulated wisdom of the Autobot Matrix. He cures everyone including the Decepticons and earns Galvatron's respect. After this incident comes the 4th Season which would be the Headmasters.
Yup, that was the episode in season three where Optimus Prime is brought back to life (after his death in the movie). The episode is called "Return of Optimus Prime" and is a two parter. The red stuff is "rage" and can pass if you get touched a la 28 days later. This is the episode that had Optimus return to life and get back the matrix from Rodimus (turning again back to Hot Rod). He unleashed the matrix to defeat the rage, but it empties the matrix of all it contained.
