How come SuperMan could turn back time, yet God can't?!

In the book of Joshua Chapter 10 verses 12 and 13, The Lord God stops time for a day to give the people of Isreal victory over their enemies when Joshua asked God to do this for him. Superman would not be able to reverse time that way; there would simply be a mass reduction in the Earth's population as the Earth slows to a stop there would be mass tidal waves and catastrophic techtonic shifting and sliding caused by the sudden enertial shift of the Earth's rotation stopping and then reversing then returning to it's original rotation. Sorry Superman but science knows that time is a constant and cannot be sped up or slowed down; only someone supernatural like God can do that so I guess God wins!
