Depends on what you mean by strongest, and by elements (gotta love that kind of answer, right?) The bottom line is that it's your story, you can make it whatever you want.
Some examples or strongest material/element include:
Diamond. This one is the real-life 'hardest' material in the world. Also known as "Adamant", you'll find this - and names derived from it, sometimes the same, sometimes - in quite a few mythos: Final Fantasy (Adamantite Armor), Marvel Comics (Wolverine's Adamantine skeleton) and InuYasha all make use of it.
As for the "classical" elements; again, you have a number of sources to choose from, though in this arrangement, you'll find that although there are advantages between them, no one is usually 'stronger' than all the others.
When using the 'classical' elements, the most common configuration is 'European': Fire/Water/Earth/Wind; with Fire and Water as well as Earth and Wind opposed. Some mythos add a fifth element to the mix: commonly Aether, Energy, or Life. Others add a third pair. The details differ depending on the author, but it is usually one force that heals and one that injures; called Life and Death, Holy and Necromancy, Positive and Negative, what have you.
There are other 'classical' formations, two that may be of interest to you for writing a comic:
> Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth (Wu Xing, Chinese)
> Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Void/Sky/Heaven (Godai, Japanese. Sometimes includes a sixth: Consciousness)
Again, none are particularly dominant over all others, but have their strengths and weaknesses.
Metal, fire, air, earth, ice, water......I'm out. That's a hard question.
The four main elements are fire, wind/air, water and earth. Air is lighthearted and creative, water is gracfull and beautifull, earth is wise but strong and fire is strong and destructive. Strongest i would have to say fire, then earth as a close second.
