For green lantern fans: why is yellow an impurity when it's the color of hop!

Green is also the color of trees, grass, growing things...its the first color that comes to mind when you think of nature and how things are supposed to be...further, as for yellow - it is odd isn't it, that yellow is a primary color and so you would not equate impurity to a primary (unblended) color, whereas green is a secondary color (a blended color), maybe it all boils down to blue...I knew there was a reason its my favorite color.
I really think that yellow is just a random colour the writer picked. Maybe he didnt like it.
