DB Z Better story and Graphics
dbz is very repetitive in bad guy comes bad guy wins good guys get stronger good guy destroy bad guys so i'll say pokemon in that it's different
Dragonball Z definitely... Pokemon basically has the same thing happen every episode. Team Rocket is among the worst villains that there ever was for a series.
The Villains in DBZ actually are realistic.
Besides Writing Graphics and storyline... DBZ has pokemon smoked in character development of main Characters.
In Pokemon The Hero and his friends are oblivious to the So called 'disguises' of Team Rocket. The writing is formula-styled... The Graphics, except in the movies, is mediocre. And the Storyline doesnt vary from season to season. If the Hero and his friends are supposedly getting better at what they do you'd think they'd recognize Team Rocket's lame-brain plots before they shout "It's Team Rocket"
Granted Pokemon's supposedly written for Kids between 4 and 10 and DBZ is written for a bit older kids. But a little realism in the Characters would be nice... How many 10 year old kids (the age of Ash Ketcham in the first Pokemon Series I believe) would fall for Groucho Marx glasses/moustache as a disguise? Let alone fall for similar quality 'disguises' over and over.
Goku the main character in DBZ isnt by far the brightest bulb around but he hasn't consistantly mistook the villains for anything but villains... and has turned a few of his villains into good guys.
Almost all of the Earth Defense force In DBZ is made up of DragonBall era villains and Rivals of Goku's. With the Exceptions of Gohan (Goku's son), Vegeta (the first Major reoccuring villain of DBZ) Trunks (Vegeta's son) and a few others that come along later...
Look at the Group that surrounds Ash in Pokemon... There are almost no former villains, if you can call the groups that try for world domination villainous. Brock is the long time straight man through almost all Pokemon incarnations... the girl has changed from the first series...
Team Rocket is a bunch of lame brains... both the Jesse and James team and the Butch and Cassidy team. You hardly ever see any competent villainy from them. It would be a wonder if they broke from the on-going capture Pikachu and give him to the boss schtick by actually capturing pikachu and giving him to the boss and forcing Ash to adapt to life without his electric rat for a season or two.
The other teams that they came up with to challenge the central groups werent much better... Team water and team Magma? (if I remember both or even one of the names correctly I'll be surprised.)
The only thing that Pokemon has going for it is its cutesy monsters the Pokemon.
dbz for sure but pokemon is still good
