Gift dilemma--Bleach anime subbed or dubbed?!

Question: I’m purchasing a Bleach set for a Christmas gift. This person has only seen the dubbed version so they are used to & prefer that for this particular anime. FMA was the other way, so they prefer the subbed version & didn’t like the dubbed voices.

If I could, I would spend extra and get as many of the dubbed as possible, but I can only find up to episode 28.

So, I can get either 28 episodes dubbed ( That’s ALL that’s available and he’ll have to wait maybe years to see the rest) or 140+ episodes subbed. I’m worried that he will hate the subbed voices, but he‘ll be happy that he has so many episodes. He can be impatient for shows he likes.

I can get both but thats pricy. I can’t ask him because its a suprise. He’ll be happy either way, but I want to make the best choice.

If you had to choose between getting all the available episodes of your favorite anime in your less preferred version, or getting just 28/140+ in the version you like, what would your choice be? Thanks!

Their have currently been 149 episodes released as of right now in Japan from what I am aware of. As for your choice, Subbed is by far the best for any true anime fan. Now, as for your delima, I may be able to help, but! There is the issue that when animes are released onto DvD in fan sub for even upon ebay, they usually do so by season, and as each season is complete, they will release it. As the Arancaar season is not yet complete, nor has it hit a point that filler could be injected, you may have a difficult time finiding 108 or 109. I will look for you and see if I can can find anything out, or if perhaps, I myself can obtain a copy for you if need be. Helping out fellow anime fans is by far one of my favorite things to do. ^^

get the subbed episodes. if he likes prefers the dubbed version then he must hav already seen till ep 28 but not after that. if u get him the subbed version then he'll be able to see the later episodes. maybe he'll cm to like the subbed ones better after a few episodes. afterall, all anime r better in the subbed version cuz the voice expressions are better and sound original.

as for me i like subbed version better. xD i used to watch dubbed version but wen i saw subbed version i liked it better.

I'd prefer the subbed version becasue sometimes things get lost in translation. Dubbed is fine when you get tired of reading but sometimes the dialogue changes just so the words can fit with the movements of the characters lips as they're talking. Also the quality is kinda different from the overseas version. In Japan you can see characters smoking and bleeding but in the U.S. the violence and swearing is toned down a bit. I think your friend would like the subbed versions better. I watch the dubbed and subbed versions of bleach and definetely prefer the subbed version better but that's my personal preference.
BTW Bleach Rocks!!

GO FOR BLEACH SUBBED. EVEN IF HE WATCHED SOME OF IT IN ENGLISH HE WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SUBBED VERSION.

THE SUBBED VERSION IS 1000 TIMES BETTER AND HE WILL PROBABLY GET SO INTO IT HE WATCH ALL THE AVAILABLE EPISODES IN 24 HOURS. THE ENGLISH VERSION MAY HAVE BEEN EDITED AND HE COULD HAVE MISSED SOME IMPORTANT OR AT LEAST INTERESTING DETAILS. THEY ALSO CHANGE DIALOG TO SUIT AN AMERICAN AUDIENCE, WHICH CAN SOMETIMES CHANGE THE MEANING OR DEPTH OF A STATEMENT.

I GUARANTEE HE WILL LOVE THE SUBBED VERSION AND WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE DUBBED VERSION!
