The story is original, it got massive amount of comedy, full of surprises, and did not focused in one character only, unlike Naruto…
And yep… believe this people, One Piece is BETTER drawn than Naruto. Naruto’s drawing is too vacant compared with the detailed One Piece.

Naruto. Its better drawn, better story, cooler fights, and alot of amazing characters. One Piece gets annoying and old really fast and it kinda stupid unlike Naruto.

Naruto. One piece sucks. The drawing is sloppy and the plot is just stupid. Naruto is awesome. Who doesn't like an anime about ninja and killers?
Well i think they are diffrent. One Piece strange and goofy ,being the best.

But if I had to pick I think Naruto.
Personally, I find One Piece to be better. People tend to always look down on the art style and think that's it's either very bad or very stupid looking, whiles looking at the plot and realizing that it's doesn't make much sense.
First off, One Piece is popular in Japan for it's use of different art styles. In a time where styles are few and far between, OP offers something a bit more colorful and irregular to the table, which in turn adds new personality to the characters. While strange, it isn't bad by any means. It's simply different.
As for plot, while it does seem simple, the series is known for the action and storytelling caught into each saga. Most long-running series have the same pattern (OP, Naruto, Bleach etc.), but OP is different in the way characters use and obtain their abilities.
Naruto is only seen as "better" because it's more mainstream in western countries. One Piece was never given a fair chance here once 4Kids first obtained the rights. Naruto got away with only minor edits where as OP was torn to shreds, disguising what is actually a very good series.
They're are both good series, but One Piece is something different. Ninjas in anime have been done already. Pirates are still fresh. In a world of anime, to see something which isn't a highschool harem or a mecha-fest is a rarity. Thus, OP is unquie.
Naruto!!! One Piece sucks!! but i guess, if i had to choose between naruto and naruto shippuden.... i'd go for Naruto shippuden...more action... LOL!!
