An absolute masterpeice. Each episode tells a different story. It's a fantasy/drama unlike any you'll ever find. my favorite anime.
If you've ever seen any of Hayao Miyazaki's films (Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, etc,.) there is no doubt that you will enjoy this.

Although it ended early (the manga was never finished), this is deffinitely worth watching. If you sit through the first couple of episodes you will be surprised. What seems like a typical story at first turns out to be far from typical. Some of the best character development I've ever seen in anime.

Full Moon wo Sagashite, Mermaid Melody, and Tokyo Mew Mew are REALLY good animes! You get very into it! They are my all time favorite animes! P.S. I started Ouran Host Club yesterday and I love it!

Full Moon wo Sagashite: A twelve year old girl named Mitsuki dreams of becoming a famous singer but she has throat cancer which makes that dream impossible. But when two death spirits named Takuto & Meroko come and tell her she has one year to live she asks Takuto to do something for her. To turn her into a sixteen year old so she can pursue her dream. In her sixteen year old body Mitsuki is healthy and she becomes the famous singer Full Moon.
Mermaid Melody: The Pink Pearl Mermaid Princess Luchia must go to the human world to find her sacred pearl she gave to a boy she met 7 years ago. After getting her pearl back she must find the 6 other mermaid princesses to help reawaken Aqua Regina so she can save the undersea world and the human world from the evil Gaito.
Tokyo Mew Mew: 5 ordinary girls get infused with the DNA of 5 endangered animals. They must use their new powers to defend the Earth from the aliens that are trying to take Earth as their own.

if you like suspense "20th century boys" or "monster" is a really good choice
I highly suggest watching Naruto. Naruto in my opinion is one of the best anime/manga ever so far. I defiantly think is has lived up to the hype about it. The show has a interesting plot with very good art and charter drawing. The show includes action/comedy/romance and drama Here what the show is about. It is about a boy named Naruto who is an orphan and has a demon spirt fox in him that was put there when he was born. Later on Naruto finds friends that like him of who he is. He has made a decision be become the greatest ninja in his village (the village hidden in the leaves), he wants to become hokage, but in order to do that he must train like he never has before as well has battle through missions and interesting foes with his friends and learning new moves/jutsu (speail fighting moves) and marial arts. In between all this there are relationships between charcaters. Naruto is defiantly a series/show/manga that defiantly worth getting into and is one good epic story.

It was a powerful demon indeed; a single swing of one of its nine tails would raise tsunamis and flatten mountains. It raised chaos and slaughtered many people, until the leader of the Leaf Village – the Fourth Hokage – defeated it by sacrificing his own life to seal the demon inside a newly-born child, whose origins are as yet unknown. That child's name was Naruto Uzumaki. The Fourth Hokage was celebrated as a hero for sealing the demon fox away. He wanted Naruto to be respected in a similar light by being the containment vessel for the demon fox. The village he grew up in, however, mostly shunned Naruto; they regarded him as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood. A decree made by the Third Hokage made it so that the other villagers were forbidden to mention the event to anyone, even to their own children. However, this did not stop them from treating Naruto like an outcast. Although their children did not specifically know why their parents treated Naruto the way they did, they learned through example to despise the boy. As a result, Naruto grew up as an orphan in a lonesome atmosphere without friends, family, or acknowledgment.
All in all it has everything you could want out of anime/manga including action/romance/drama/and comdy.

D Gray Man: About a cursed boy named Allen Walker that joins a band of exorcists called the Black Order.
NANA- Tad bit of maturity, but it's good if you're into the lovey dovey "Say you love me" stuff.
Air- Very deep stuff. About a boy who's searching for a winged being, and a series of people with interesting pasts.
DN Angel- A boy named Daisuke becomes "of age" and discovers his identity as Dark, the famous winged thief.
Naruto-...Is a classic. If you don't like it, I can't do anything about it, but the show is what started EVERYTHING for me.
Bleach- Similar to D Gray Man, just much longer. About an orange haired dude called Ichigo that receives power from a death god- Rukia. He needs to save her from execution later on, and obtains his own power.
The Prince of Tennis- A tennis prodigy amazes the school team, and spectators, with his skills.
The Wallflower (various names-search on google)- About a group of good-looking teenage boys set with the task of transforming a demented girl into a beautiful lady.
Neon Genesis Evangelion- Robot anime. I suspect a lot of action and drama.

InuYasha- A girl named Kagome falls through her shrine keeper family's well on her sixteenth birthday and is brought to fuedal Japan, where finds out she is the reincarnation of the miko Kikyo, who was once the protecter of the Shikon no Tama(jewel of four souls). The Shikon is a jewel that can grant a wish, or just make you really powerful. She ends up freeing a hanyou(half demon) named InuYasha to save her from a youkai(demon). Then Kagome accidentally breaks the Shikon no Tama trying to get it back from a crow youkai, so she pairs up with InuYasha to find all the scattered peices. And because of the enchanted neckless InuYasha has, every time Kagome says 'osuwari(sit)' he falls into the ground. They pair up with the perverted monk Miroku, youkai slayer Sango, and kitsune(fox) Shippou. Before long, the spirit of Kikyo is given a body of clay and bones, which lives off of souls. He is a ninja and goes through many rough missions with his team, Sakura and Sasuke, and their sensei(teacher) Kakashi. Sound like fun? Well, everybody hates Naruto because he's a jinchuuriki(demon container) and has the Kyuubi(nine tailed fox) inside him. Kyuubi killed alot of Konoha, and some think that Naruto is Kyuubi, rather than it's holder. He has a crush on Sakura, but she hates him and likes Sasuke. Sasuke is his rival, and he ends up betraying Konoha and leaving to learn from Orochimaru(a snake-like ninja who also betrayed Konoha and tryed to destroy it). Sasuke's whole clan, the Uchiha clan, was killed by Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke's aniki(elder brother). So Sasuke wants to become stronger than him so he can kill him and avenge his clan. Hinata has a huge crush on Naruto, but he's to much of a baka(idiot/fool) to realize it. www.narutomagic.com
.Hack//Sign(Dot Hack Sign)- This anime takes place in a game world. A young boy named Tsukasa is trapped in this game world, unable to log out, while his body in the real world lies in a coma. He is lonely, but soon becomes friends with Mimiru, Bear and Subaru, who try to help him log out. the youtube user kaloshade has most of the episodes.
Gravitation- Shindou Shuichi had always wanted one thing from life: to be a rock star. He and his friend Nakako Hiroshi form the band 'Bad Luck', Shuichi singing and writing lyrics while Hiroshi plays the gutair. One night, while walking down the sidewalk, Shuichi's paper with his lyrics blow away in the wind, and the person who catches them changes his life. Yuki Eiri, romance novilist, critisizes Shuichi's lyrics and walks away, leaving Shuichi obsessed. He finds Yuki again, demanding an appology, and ends up falling in love with the man! His carrer as a rock star improves, Bad Luck getting a deal with the top producers in Japan--NG. Then the shacho(boss/president) of NG, Tohma Seguchi, gets Noriko to be Bad Luck's keyboardist. Noriko used to be in the top band in Japan: Nittle Grasper, as a keyboardist. Tohma was another keyboardist for this band, as well as Sakuma Ryuichi being the vocalist. Shuichi's relashionship with Yuki is crazy, but he really loves him. Yuki lets Shuichi live with him, and soon starts to open up to the singer about his dark past. Warning: shounen ai. I suggest you read the manga instead of watching the anime.
Yu Yu Hakusho- Bad boy Urameshi Yusuke dies saving a little boy from getting hit by a car. He passes a strange test given to him by the ruler of the Spirit World, and is brought back to life, but must become spirit detective. Now he must fight youkai and compete in tournoments with no guarentee of survival. He pairs up with Kuwabara, a student from his school with high spirit awarness, Kurama, a youkai kitsune in a human body, and Hiei, the forbidden child.
Full Metal Alchemist- Ed and Al Elric's mother dies, and their father is nowhere they know of. Wanting their mother back, they learn alchemy from a woman named Izumi, and use that knowlage to preform a human transmutation. But it goes wrong, and Al loses his body, Ed losing his left leg. He attaches Al's soul to a suit of armor, and gives up his right arm in doing that. He gets them replaced with automail, and the two brothers set off to try to get their bodies back to normal. To gain more knowlage about an item called the Pholoseher's Stone, that may help them get their bodies back, Ed joins the state alchemists so he can acess their library, becoming a dog of the military. www.fullmetalstream.com
