I am a plus size female who wants to cosplay, but I need to find the perfect cha!
Question: I need help finding a character I can play that I could pull off decently while being plus size. I don't want to be critized by being someone and being plus size. Please Help! I love to cosplay, and I need advice of characters. Thanks!!!

I agree with Ree....but i kinda understand what you mean. (im real self consious) But one thing i have noticed, alot of the plus size girls at conventions wear long dresses/outfits. I dont know if their characters are plus-sized too, but they look good in them. Maybe you should try some anime characters that wear long dresses.

Yes, I agree with the answerers below me; it doesn't matter what size you are - cosplay's are made for people who love anime to come together and have fun! If you love to cosplay that should be good enough!

Be whoever you want. You shouldn't care about what other people think. So what if your critized. Who cares? You sure as hell shouldn't. No one else's oppinion matters except your own. Just be you and have fun.
Unfortunately I don't think there are a lot of female anime characters who are plus-sized, but I have seen a lot of plus-size cosplayers before. For the most part people focus more on their costume/effort than their weight. If people criticize you for that, then they're just being mean. Most anime fans I know are very kind and would find it cool that you decided to cosplay, no matter what your size is or what you look like. XD Sometimes people cosplay characters with different hair colors, eye colors, skin colors, even different genders... and that doesn't keep them from going out there and having fun. If it really bothers you, you can try to lose weight and cosplay once you get closer to your ideal body size, even though that might be difficult. My suggestion would be, don't look for a plus sized character... just look for a character you like, maybe one with more features similar to yours (like hair color, hair style, skin tone) and make sure your costume looks great.
