I have seen way to much of actual gore to last a lifetime, so I wouldn't be inclined to pay to sit and watch more gore on the screen, its just not me.
i can and it all the same i hate the movies that just show gore scene after gore scene, what ever happened to good stories

A good question. I recently watched The Thing, the John Carpenter remake from 1982. When I first saw it years ago it was gory to say the least. But watching it years later it still had gore, and still shocked but not as much, as I knew what was going to happen.
What I can't cope with are films showing people having injections. That's gore which definitely is not pointless.
