The black and silver costume was known as Spider Armor while the red and gold costume designed by Tony Stark was officially dubbed the Iron Spider by Joe Quesada. The names are given to the costumes rather than the person since Spider-Man is still Spider-Man no matter what costume he wears.
The costume was made by Tony Stark to be like his Iron Man suits. Hence the "Iron" in the title.
Either way, that was the worst costume ever.
The official title of the suit was "The Iron-Spider", and they are in different universes, so the title could be shared between the two, also he doesnt use it anymore, despite how cool it was.
