Answers: in naruto wat does kun, san, chan, nei chen stufff like that translate for me make a list please!!!!!!!!!

i kinda figured this out myself
kun is like sweetie, likeyour name is bob, so i call you bobby (bob-kun) for a male
san is the same, but for a girl, kate, katey (kate-san)
chan is friend. can be used for either sex. we are friends, you call me maggie-chan
nee chan (i dont think its spelled that way) but its older brother. like, karin calls ichigo nei chan, and kon calls rukia nee-sama (from bleach, obviously)

i have no idea but when you figure it out tell me....

What the hell r u talking about, " are u robert?

Those are not Naruto terms, but Japanese.
So:
Kun is only used for males and is used when you refer to someone with whom you are not intimate.
For example a guy you just met: Naruto-Kun
.
San means the same but is for females as well"
For example: Sakura-San= Miss Sakura

Sama is used for both males and females and shows great respect.
For Example: Tsunade-Sama

Chan is used for girls only, and it is a cute way to call someone.
For example: Sakura-Chan

Senpai is a term used to call people like your upperclassmen.

nii-chan is brother
kun, san, and chan are suffixes used when addressing someone you are friends with.

niisan-brother

neesan-sister

kun- for boys same age or younger

chan- for girls same age or younger (if used for boy, if not a joke, it's an insult. Like Sai will say Naruto-chan)

san- someone older than you

sama-someone higher ranking... more like royality level or in this case, Kage level.

shishou- Sakura uses this for Tsunade. It's a teacher and more powerful person.

sensei-teacher

senpei- someone who has to be older than you that you follow in their footsteps but rival them at the same time. example is Konohamaru and Naruto.

Hope I've helped. I didn't give you others but these are the more common I've heard in Naruto.

Kun=This suffix is used at the end of a boy's name to express that they are familiar to them, it is also used by men towards friends.

San=This is the most common to use towards a teacher, elderly, or anyone respectable.

Chan= This is used mostly towards girls. It is also used for little boys, pets, and even lovers.

Nei=This is used for a best friend, husband and wife, or any one really close.

If you have anymore questions about the japanese language, just ask me! Hope I helped! Enjoy your Naruto manga!

Naruto Rocks!!!!!

these are Japanese title used for politeness

kun- a polite way to adress boys of similar ago, rarely used when talking to a girl

chan- used when talking to family, friends, female you know well, and pets

san- and more polite way used for male and female, generally meaning Ms. or Mr.

nei-chan- brother or sister

sama- the very polite and formal form of san usually used for superiors or those of high respect, it would be like calling them Lady, Lord, or Master

senpai- used as in a senior as in college or sports, more experienced or intellegent person

sensei- means teacher or one superior to oneself

I hope this helps and if you still have question go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/japanese_ti...

they are all endings you put onto the end of a name, called honorifics. if it is a person you just met, you might call them uzumakai-san, or mr.uzumaki. if the person uses the name with no honorifics, they must be very close friends

kun - means like friend, usually reserved for boys
san - english equivalent of mr,mrs,
chan - means like friend, usually reserved for girls
onii-chan - brother
onei-chan - sister
sensei - teacher
oneiisan - miss
oba-san - old lady
sama - reserved for person of great respect
oji-san - old man

Those are Japanese suffixes for names.

..most people who already answered spelled them wrong. -_-

-San is used for anyone you are not familiar with... if it is someone important or of high status, you'd use -sama which is used with high respect.
-Chan is an affectionate way to refer to a girl (like Naruto would say Sakura-chan) and sometimes used with a guy's name to make fun of them or say they are girly, etc. or if you are close to them. (as in good friends)
-Kun is like -chan but for boys, also can be used by someone who is of a higher status to refer to any guy who has a lower status than them.

Nee-san or onee-san is older sister.
Nii-san or onii-san is older brother.
You can change the -san to any of the other name suffixes like -chan or -kun. (You can take off the o in the beginning because that is just there to be respectful)

People who are close friends might not use these suffixes.

For younger siblings...
Imouto-san is younger sister.
Otouto-san is younger brother.
You can change the san to any other suffix...

For parents...
Okaa-san is mother.
Otou-san is father.
Again, you can change the -san. (You can take off the o in the beginning because that is just there to be respectful)

For grandparents...
Ojii-san is grandfather.
Obaa-san is grandmother.
You can change the -san.. like Chiyo in Naruto is Chiyo-baasama. (You can take off the o in the beginning because that is just there to be respectful)
For these two, you have to have the double vowel which means that vowel is 'dragged out' because...

for uncle and aunt...
Oji-san is uncle.
Oba-san is aunt.
Again, change the san if you want and take of the o if you want. This is why you have to 'drag the vowels out' for grandparents because it is so similar.

I'm too lazy to explain more family stuff like cousin and wife and husband and others so if you want to know more just ask. -_- I think I said too much though.

More important ones-
Senpai- your senior or upperclassman.
Kohai- is your junior or lowerclassman but this is not used a lot.
Sensei- teacher or doctor.

Also sometimes you combine -chan and -sama and you get -chama which is a 'cute' way of saying sama.

All of these family things and name suffixes can be put at the end of a person's name in Japanese.

Hope I make sense. -_-

they are all honorifics, terms used for respect! it's not just in naruto, but in the japanese language itself.

-kun is used for boys, usually. so, sakura calls naruto "naruto-kun" because they're friends.
-san translates closest to "mr." or "mrs." or "miss". people just meeting would use this. so i would call you, if your name were bob, bob-san. lol!
-chan is usually used towards girls, but can also be used after animals or lovers. guys use it sometimes too, towards their guy friends and female friends. naruto calls sakura "sakura-chan" and this is why. also, if you had a dog named fluffy, or a girlfriend named erika, you could call the dog fluffy-chan and erika erika-chan and she could call you bob-chan
lollll xD

and ni-chan means brother, i think

:D

those words mean like older peoples, younger peoples, girl, and a boy
like hinata calls naruto "naruto-kun" hes older than her
'Ni san" means older brother
"Nei chen" means older borther also
chan is for girls such as "sakura-chan"

Those are not Naruto terms, but Japanese.
So:
Kun is only used for males and is used when you refer to someone with whom you are not intimate.
For example a guy you just met: Naruto-Kun
.
San means the same but is for females as well"
For example: Sakura-San= Miss Sakura

Sama is used for both males and females and shows great respect.
For Example: Tsunade-Sama

Chan is used for girls only, and it is a cute way to call someone.
For example: Sakura-Chan

Nee-chan is for older brother...

hey yakob do me a favor and give sylverbu... somthing the ten points he deserves it. when it explains everything and you could have asked me that question at school.
