Why do men in some anime dont have nipples?!
Question: In some anime, it's to made the anime look 'clean'. You got to remember that even in Japan they have rules on what can and can't be shown in certain time slots. In one anime they even have accessories in form of stars to cover a man's nipples, just like Janet Jacksons', but then again they also done a spoof on Janet's older brother.
In other anime where they're not to obssesed on making them 'clean', the nipples are mostly drawn low profile. Due it's a style of drawing, and perharps also to avoid stealing the attention from the women's nipples.
However it should be noted that in some nude scenes, even the women's breasts aren't drawn with nipples. Either to fasten the drawing time and/or as part of the decency act.
For example, I don't think that some of Miaka's nude scenes in Fushigi Yuugi are very detailed. She might have breasts in those scenes, but minus nipples.

because it's nasty... you only see nipples on dirty characters and in anime porn
If you look at the way anime is often drawn, nipples are nothing more than dots, they are probably omitted due to laziness
it makes it easier on the animator.

I would say out of laziness, but I also would say that it makes them look more "perfect"...nice and clean.... ^///^
