I personally prefer a blend of several types.
I like high-action and epic stories, like Lord of the Rings. I am a fan of comic books (Avengers, Justice League, etc), Science Fiction, and Fantasy (swords & sorcery).
A measure of drama, romance, and comedy are necessary components of any good story, and a dose of horror can make for an interesting variation on any theme (Alien was a horror/sci-fi, with plenty of drama thrown in).
I suppose it would be fair to say that I like all genres to different degrees, and that they are all necessary elements of good story telling.
Comedy romance and action.
I would say comedy because everybody loves to laugh, no matter who they are.
action + romance are really big popular genres, and lol about English ^_^
