Who else think the anime Naruto is overrated?!

no i dont think so.. it really depends on what kind of anime you like. mostly boys.. they love action and some comedy. naruto has that. bleach also has these but maybe the storyline isnt as great. or anyway some aspects naruto is better.
i dont think naruto is the greatest anime too but seeing how so many love the anime and say that its their favourite. i think its possible to say that its the most popular anime up till now. but its only for now
when the anime/manga ends people after a while it will lose its popularity since there are new animes coming out.
I find shonen ( action manga geared to boys) to be overrated.
Like satan tofu said things like Appleseed, Cowboy Bebop, and Akira are much better.

i have seen ALOT of anime... and there have been many that i have fallen in love with... but barely any of those drew me in like naruto does.
inuyasha is the best anime ever....
and then its naruto...
followed by death note....
and then ergo proxy/gilgamesh...
and then its gundam seed and la corda d'oro... etc...
and etc... so its not as if shounen type anime are the only ones ive ever seen. i have seen all types... but naruto is an anime thats worth getting hyped for...

The anime drags things out, read the manga & you wont get the 10 minute fillers they have in each episode.

Yes. I'm also a Naruto fan, but I know there are a lot of better animes out there. I can't say that Naruto is the greatest anime - sure, the plot is great, and whatever the characters do have the meanings, but the animation..... >_>
I totally and competely agree with you. There's tons of anime out there that are so much better. But there's always an anime that pops up and becames the "greatest show ever" and then eventually dies down. Now, I'm just waiting for that to happen.
I find it overrated, I've never seen why people enjoy it so much, but it seems like mostly everyone does nowadays (darn english dub...) I've only met a few anime fans who don't like it, I don't like it either but that's just me. No offense Naruto fans! It's actually not as bad a show as I used to think at first but I can't get into it... hehe guess I'm just strange. ^^;

Yep, I agree… I think the story is way too much used, the drawing on the mangas are too vacant (in my opinion).
