Which degree is more marketable and will provide better education for and Animat!
Question: would like to pursue degree in order to work as Animator. Which degree would be more marketable? A BFA in Studio Art with concentration in Graphic Design from Georgia State University OR a BFA in Animation from Savannah College of Art and Design? I have an excellent portfolio and have won some awards for my work. Just need the degree to back it up.

Any of those degrees from the universities you mentioned above should be suffice. If those two universities are your top 2 choices, I would plan a visit and check out their respective departments and if you can talk to a couple fo the students there, professors and advisors.

I dont know anything about the studies of america, but it sounds like (from just the title) that you should go for the savannah animation course.
One cant really make a judge with the title alone, and you would have to get in depth information about each course individually from the tutors in each college/uni.
however with the name of 'graphic design, it sounds more to do with packaging and labels... much more generallised, so...theres my opinion good luck when you start :)
