What ever Happened to Saturday morning cartoons?!

Question: Saturdays were the time when we watched cartoons as kids. Each season we eagerly awaited all of the new ones...yet I have been getting up early on Saturdays to see what's available for kids these days and see CNN, and Nancy Grace and Meet the press and all thes other progams...where are the cartoons for the kids?

I hear that!
I miss the 70s...waking up at 6am (you could never wake up in time for school, but you couldn't stay asleep on Saturday mornings), fixing a heaping bowl of cereal, adjusting the rabbit ears (the wonderful days before cable TV) and zoning out to whatever magic William Hanna & Joseph Barbera and Sid & Marty Krofft cooked up.
Scooby-Doo, Josie & The Pussycats, H.R. Pufnstuf, Lidsville, Land of The Lost, Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids, SuperFriends, Mighty Man & Yukk, The Bugs Bunny Show, Scooby-Doo's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics, Wheelie & The Chopper Bunch, The Brady Kids, The Bugaloos, The Archie Show...
...it was an amazing time to be a kid.

I feel sorry for the children of today, they're missing out on so much.

They are now distributed all over the week, instead of only being saturated at saturday morning.

Also stations like Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and so on are dedicated to bring cartoons all day and all week instead of only at weekend morning.

im not sure. Im only 15 but i remember my dad and me used to watch cartoons all the time. I dont know what happend to them now though.
