Why do cartoon characters always wear the same clothes in every episode?!

Question: Like Charlie Brown, Rugrats, Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc.

Answers: Like Charlie Brown, Rugrats, Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc.

Because when Homer dresses like Crusty the Clown, they're hard to tell apart. Characters who are all drawn in the same stylized way have to look pretty distinct to be distinguished from random filler characters from scene to scene and episode to episode. Familiar outfits are a very common way of keeping a character easy to recognize.

the artists are too lazy to makke other outfits

2 main reasons: (1) cartoonists are lazy (2) it's cheaper

They have 100000000000000000000000000000000000000 copies of the same clothes or the makers are to lazy or they dont bathe.

It's harder to make other outfits. But some cartoon characters, like Kim Possible on the Disney channel, have different clothes every day. And some, like Kagome on InuYasha, (I love InuYasha! I am addicted to it!) have an excuse; Kagome's outfit is her school uniform, so she has no choice but to wear it everyday.
But that's just a select few shows. It's still mostly because the artists are lazy.

Cause its cute and keeps them familiar.

One reason, if characters changed their clothes, people would cry about it. Remember when Superman changed his costume from the his trademark red and blue to a blue suit with no cape? Well, people didn't take that very well. Same went for Spider-Man back in the 80's when his suit changed to the black suit, some fans complaind about it.

Well, my opinion is that each character must have his own trade mark and look in order to stand out and also, be recognized by every one. Would you recognize Superman if he were wearing a Hiwaiian shirt and some shorts? No.

That's their signature style. Who would Micky Mouse be without the red bibs?? Charlie Brown without his yellow and black zigzag shirt??

becueas how cood you tell if they were the same poeple?
