you should read it from the beginning... cause they left out certain things.... (but not things that are too important to the progressment of the story...)

but if you really just want to read where they left off, then you should stat at chapter 31 volume 6. this is where shishou san tales off kyo's bracelet and he transforms. this is the main point where the manga and the anime take a completely different course.

i know this for a fact!
to test this theory i watched the anime series and then continued at volume 6 (again) and i was fine. this is the main part because after this they just wanted to end the anime so everything that happened from that point on in the anime was bull... (no offense... i liked the anime too^^)

start at the begining of the manga with vol. 1 the anime moved,left out and changed some details (mostly they left out a lot of stuff)
