What's with those anime-haters!?!?!
Question: okay, i'm sure i'm not the only one here asking this question but i just don't get it!!! why are some people so stereotyped and think anime is stupid and lousy and childish?!??!?! i mean, if you were to watch an anime, honestly, they're just like movies, better than them, cuz the art is good, the storyline is always soooooooo dang good and addictive, and for me, i just have a million reasons to love anime!!!!! so why does some people have to hate anime when obviously they havent even watched any!?!?! plus, if they hate anime, then what's up with them humuliating and cursing anyone who watches them? i mean, man, you gotta learn some manners!!! i can't stand people who just don't understand simple things like that!!! the storylines for animes are allllll sooooooo brilliant and touching and everything!!!!!! wat's the dang difference between anime and other entertainment!?!? those anime haters can't seem to get anything proper in their heads!!!!!! urgh! this is soooooooooo frustrating!!!!!

i also asked a familiar question before... and actually answered alot of questions be people saying "dont you hate anime too?" and let me just say... i twicth everytime.
those people.... are so closed and simple minded it makes me sick! they are sooo rude! you dont dis on the things people love! what if i were to go up to their face and dis their mother, or their child, or their sibling? i bet they wouldnt like that.... and to me its the same thing!

i believe that there is an anime for everyone out there. people believe that animes are just childish cartoons from japan... but they are soooo wrong!! one of my closests friends never watches cartoons. she HATES almost anything animated and thinks of it as a waste of time.
let me just say... i didnt think that she knew there were anime like "paradise kiss". and i knew she never counted on being such a romance anime fanatic. there really is an anime out there for everyone.... and i feel bad for the people who have yet to find it.....
in other words, try not to worry too much about them ^^ remember, were the ones with anime in our lives =] we should definitely be feeling sorry for THEM ^^

I know how you feel. The reason most people hate anime is because it's an animation from Japan. Japan bombed the US, yatta yatta. Stupid reason to hate something, in my oppinion. But that's what I've heard.
You're right that most anime-haters have never seen anime. It's obviouse. Anime-haters should keep there mouths shut instead of making themselves looks stupid in public. I think it's rather funny.
Anyways, you bring up a good point. The differance between anime and other entertainment is that anime is better then other entertainment and the anime-haters just don't wanna admit that something like anime could be cool and awesome. haha.
It's their loss. They're the ones missing out. Let them miss out on all the action packed, comidy loving, romance cuteness, and over-all amazing shows/series. Anime is the best and there's no "if"s, "and"s, or "but"s about it. haha.

Because that's how white people were brought up (I'm white btw). The only kind of anime they have seen is Pokemon, Digimon, Dragonball Z and they are portrayed as children programs in places like America and Australia. And then they think all the other japanese animations are just the same thing. Thinking it's kiddy etc.. They'd rather watch The OC or sport or something. Not that I don't enjoy sports. =p
You are so right! Some of those anime haters always judge and curse anime and its fans without manners... They tend to classify anime as "cartoons for kids" and classify anime fans as nerds or geeks... Why couldn't they accept the fact that we people have different tastes, different hobbies and different ways of killing our times?
Well, usually I would ignore those anime haters if I encounter any of them, they wouldn't listen to us no matter how many times we told them that anime is simply awesome and not to bash anime and its fans anymore... They got on my nerves before, but after so many times reading their silly answers in some anime/manga questions, I found it was a waste of time arguing with them coz they are so stubborn that they never listen to a word we said....

Most anime don't have a touch of anything even remotely resembling brilliance, although there are a very few which do qualify as good movies, and one or two which are great films.
You've overstated your case and you've done so badly. Anime isn't the greatest thing in the world, although it is far from the worst. As far as anime being better than movies, you'll have to be more specific. There are thousands of very bad movies, some of which are anime, and animation should be judged by the same standards one would apply to any other film; I've seen few anime that have storylines superior to most rank and file films, and I think you're making blanket comments to cover your ill-formed arguments.
I think part of your frustration comes from the fact that most of your ideas either aren't fully formed or that you aren't capable of being articulate enough to explain what you mean very clearly. You haven't asked a question, as much as you've delivered a diatribe, which is not the way to win converts, but it looks like you are only preaching to the choir anyway.
What is up with haters in general? People should be more open-minded and not say they hate something completely. People should give something a chance before completely writing it off. There are many different types of anime - different movie genres, different television shows...could a person honestly say they hate it ALL? By saying something like that, an "anime hater" is only displaying close-mindedness and rigidity.
People who are raised with cartoons surrounding them will find that anime is an "annoying" phrase. Anime this, anime that.... and in the end, since both are animation in general, these people will end up calling anime as "cartoons" instead.
This is common.
There's absolutely nothing that we can do to change this perception. Anime - no matter what's your opinion on it - will still be called "cartoon" due to its nature. Sure, we know animes have pretty art style, have complex story-telling, but the way it was made is no different than how are cartoons made.
And why are you so frustrated over a simple matter? There's no point having to prove that anime is different than cartoons. Let them be; if you overdo it, they will eventually be the ones that win in the end. (Which points out why you ask this question on the first place - you can't argue with them, right?)
So let them be. At least YOU know what anime really is. =^_^=
obviously there are different people around the world. some like and some don't like anime. I guess they simply just want to express there opinion about it. I don't mind watching it but i do think some animes don't have a good story line or is sort of childish. anyway I'm pretty sure you disapprove of certain things and might want to sort of offend this the person, or people that support whatever you hate. Personally, i sometimes cant tell the difference from a male or female in animes sometimes and i make fun of how they look but thats me.
Not everyone is going to like anime but the ones that insult people for liking anime are stupid, immature, and need to find themselve's a life. Especially when someone, John, go as far as coming to the animation section just to make a thread about how much anime and people that like anime suck. Well, I sure am glad people cussed him out for that. And I agree it is annoying when people that say they hate anime has never bothered giving it a chance. Their loss.

some times I understnad the anime hatters better. when you wear your narutard costume to highschool or middle school and then cry to your mom or the admin because people mocked you then thats pretty pathetic. when you start yelling completly obsolete japanese phrases like "baka" (stupid) just to show that you can, your an idiot. if you want someone to thank thatnk the damn wimps that idolize and worship characters and proclaime there desire to go to japan or wish they were japanese souly because of anime.
