Why is Naruto so popular?!
Question: I don't want to Stomp in any ones feelings but I always found it Kind of silly. But thats only my opinion, So why Naruto fans do you like this characters? They seem to cliche for my taste. The Kid who passed a hard time but has a hidden warrior, The Visually strong kid, with a similar past as the kid but more grim and driven who when faced by their hidden similarities become rivals and The Kid's love interest who has her eyes set in the Rival who looks seemingly dumb and shallow but is actually kind and emotional, with their teacher who is stronger than his pupils and knows each's Advantages and disadvantages. That mention it also uses real terms in a incorrect manner (Chakra as being life force instead of the Chi , Ninjas going in to Face to face combat in daylight, Ninjas using supernatural effects, Jutsus being hand gestures etc.) So I can't Understand why does it has such a cult following, So please can some one explain me why do you like it.

People like the show because they can relate to the character and are or haven been in trouble similar to what the character go through.
Naruto - lonely and just want friends ( in the beginning)
Sakura - in love with a guy that does not feel the same
Sasuke - angry at some one for messing up his life and want revenge.
Ino - the girl that think guys only want skin there for does it nd not be herself.
Shikamaru - a guy to lazy to prove how much is can offer
Choji - always being made fun of for being fat
Hinata - shy girl with a crush and wishes she could take too.

well..i do not like naruto..not b/c of ur reasons..but i just do not get it...maybe i should start from the beginning

I don't like Naruto too. Mostly because It' mainstream, and mainstream things are made to be liked by most of the people. The storyline, the characters the graphic, all made to be loved by young viewers that don't really like to think much and they accept this chewed and dropped to their minds brain food instead of chewing it themselves. I don't try to offense anybody (but I won't be surprised if I'd get a bunch of thumb-downs but it's just a painful spot, all that ppl talk about here is naruto or pokemon) but that just the way it is.
It's simpler than some of the other anime out there. Not saying that's what I need. Though I think that maybe one reason. Yes they mess up on some of the meanings and actual ninja nature, but only those that truly get what Ninjas are would catch on to it. It's amusing. Yes it maybe cliche to some, but it has it's perks.
I like it. Always have, and it FOLLOWS the manga which most anime waver from over time. Especially the newer series. Though it's turning Dragon Ball Z with it's talk talk talk some action more talking mode lately. *Shrug* I still like it though.
But then I guess maybe I shouldn't have much say as I also love Ranma 1/2 *Shrug*
caz naruto is like really long, and i dont know why, but its awesome. so like die.
I dont know exactly why Naruto is so popular, but i can tell you why i like it, It's better in Japanese, the characters might be cliche but theyre all so different and interesting in different ways like Neji hes so cool but he has an interesting past about his dad and his family. The techniques of fighting may be stupid but its not all about that, its about Naruto and how he goes from being alone and an orphan to having so many friends and being happy, and his relationship with Sasuke and how they turn into best friends, from being onthe same team and "caring" about each other, It's more than just the three people being cliche but its about the whole village and how they fight for each other... it may sound stupid but you should give it a chance if you want to ...in japanese that makes it better with subs. yea! its ok if you dont understand but i really think its good. Its funny too!
I really like it for 2 reasons
1 because their is a good balance between the action and the drama.
2 Their is a fairly large cast of characters who are all different and so many of them are actually fairly well developed that its hard not to find at least one character to be interested in following.
It just is. Mostly because of the action and drama and relationships between the characters.

i guess it's because the storyline is really good and keeps you interested, guessing, and wanting to see more. it can be sad and funny at the same time. it has hints of romance, but not alot so people can think about their favorite pairings without being wrong or right. it has a veriety of character personals, so you can have alot of favorite characters. some of the fight sceens are really cool.
Well, I like it because not only does it have action and interesting plots, it shows the relationships between people, people's pasts and things they want to achieve. If you pay close attention to it it has a lot of human emotion involved with the characters. There are so many secrets of characters and dark pasts. People can really relate to what the characters think and feel too. Most of the good stuff hasn't happened in the anime yet. The English dub IS really stupid but the Japanese is better. The plot gives you things to wonder about and you can come up with theories for mysteries yet to be revealed. Remember, it's fiction not all of the terms and stuff have to make sense.
Its difficult to say precisely why I like Naruto. I like his never say die attitude and his fierce loyalty to his friends. I think they are traits we could all adopt in real life.
We live in a world where people are finding it easier not to care but when you watch Naruto and the other characters in it - you care about them and their situations.
