Superhero or not?!

Question: Do you need to have superpowers to be a superhero?

Answers: Do you need to have superpowers to be a superhero?

No, you don't need superpowers. Most of the greats mentioned here, while not possessing super-powers, had amazing skills which they use in their pursuit of justice. So, while super powers are not necessary, (they certainly help,) there has to be something that sets you apart from society.

thats kind of the criteria. otherwise, you'd be batman, just a vigilante w/ awesome tools

Nope, there are plenty of heroes and heroines that don't have super powers.

yeah but you don't need to be a superhero, why not be a powerful warrior like Goku?

No. Look at Batman, Green Arrow, The Question, etc. Some of the best superheroes ever possessed no powers.

No, you don't need superpowers to be a superhero. Batman doesn't have any super powers....just really cool toys that help him do his thing. He can't fly, read peoples mines, walk through walls, possess super strength, etc... Neither does Daredevil. He just learned to enhance his hearing to compensate for his blindness.

Are you planning your career as a future superhero?

no just A good heart & good understanding

No.

A Hero is a Police officer, a Fire Man,.. the person that saved you from drowning.

A Superhero is someone that saves many people on a regular basis,.. usually cities or planets,.. and there is not always recognition of their good deeds.

There are Super People in real life if it helps. Supermodels do not have Superpowers, yet they are called Super. A Model poses in a comfortable enviornment, just gets in the shot by chance, or is in a studio. A Supermodel has to brave through a dangerous area to stand some where on a clear sunny day at the wrong time of the year so it's 50 degrees out of the water but the water they are standing in is icy cold and they have to do this in heels while keeping that pleasent happy sparky expression and position,.. while the tide picks up and is strong enough to take down a grown man. Incase you didn't know,. Supermodels tend to have the same diet as Football and Basketball Stars,.. they also can be the same height range and usually were obess children that ended up with an insane metabolism and very good bones from what looked like over eatting.

We need some people in real life to be slapped with the Superhero lable. There are people deserveing of it,.. it's just when you are up against soemthing that can take many lives they tend to wind up dead. Still, would be nice to say they died a Superhero.

The most well known Comic Book Super Hero to lack SuperPowers is Batman.

No you don't need superpowers, but some of the ones with out powers should been dead hundreds of times over.

I don't believe that is necessary. I think the term "superhero" means anyone performing a "super-heroic" feat or feats. Look at Batman. He is considered a "superhero" despite only being a very fit and athletic normal human. Blue Beetle, (DC) was similar, and he used gadgets to be a "superhero", PLUS, he faced down Maxwell Lord by himself and refused to give in, and he was murdered despite knowing he was going to be killed. A superhero by his actions; sacrificing his life for good. There are other superheroes who are either only "normal" humans and some with weaker powers, but each has been called a superhero. Some may say it is because of the costume they wear, or the group they are in. I say it is because of what they have done and accomplished, and perhaps because they are costumed, etc. It is an open subject. A very good question.

no but it probably does help.
alot of heroes have no true 'super-power' like Green arrow, Hawkeye, Batman, Prowler, Question, and blue bettle(old) to name a few

yes otherwise your just a hero........

It helps but isn't required.
Ask The Punisher, Iron Man, Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Night-thrasher, War Machine, etc etc.
