Do u consider x-men and other american cartoons to be anime?!

Question: i wanna know

Answers: i wanna know

Anime, as the word is used in Japan, just means animated, and the term doesn't apply to country of origin. Many Americans mistakenly think that anime means an animated product made in Japan, but technically Japanese animation would be called "Nipon Anime."

I would consider X-Men and similiar cartoons to be cartoons, but I also consider Nipon Anime to be cartoons as well. You could call the X-Men cartoons anime if you wanted, since that doesn't mean they are any better or worse than native Japanese animation, but you'll be at odds with an army of the misinformed who think that a cartoon is somehow superior because it was made in Japan. Tastes are almost entirely subjective, and both terms (cartoons and anime) just refer to a form, not the contents or quality of the form.

Call it what you will, but don't expect the Anime army to agree with you.

No because its many targeted for Americans and it only has the same topic over and over again about superheroes and it isn't that realistic.

In a sense it is but it really isn't because anime is short for animation in Japanese and if it is made in japan and marketed in japan it is technically anime. It is just an American cartoon if it isn't really made and marketed in Japan.

no because it dosnt have any japanese costoms. i mean even in action animes like naruto you can definately tell its japanese and i can tell that american cartoons are american. if my explanation dosnt help you, then take my word for it, they are not anime.

I think japanese cartoons = anime
just like japanese comics = manga

NOPE.
not at all.
not in the least.

for it to be considered anime it has to be made in japan! or at least close to looking it.

and i consider xmen to be a cartoon.
