It is because not everyone likes Anime. Just because you are a Japanophile and have no sense of humor doesn't mean that everyone else has to bend to your little whim. I, for one, enjoy Anime. However, I also enjoy good, old-fashioned comedy cartoons. I will not belittle either. I will say that calling AS original shows garbage obviously shows how ignorant you are, because without this original programming, there would be no AS, and therefore, you would never get to see your favorite Animes in their programming schedule.
-edit: Actually, I find those shows very entertaining. In all reality, this is a matter of opinion and personal taste. Squidbillies is a great show with interesting characters and some very funny dialogue. Tim and Eric (although not a favorite of mine) does occasionally get a laugh out of me just for it's plain silliness and abstract comedy. Saul of the Molemen is the perfect representation of cheesy Sci-Fi shows like Doctor Who that I grew up loving and is a great homage to shows like that. Accusing me of being lobotomized for having a different opinion than you is very arrogant and immature.
I don't know. The anime is boring too IMHO.

Seriously, I have never seen an Anime that doens't make me wonder if it wasn't written by a stoned Giraffe. And the art is just horrible!! Ugh.
I think they just want to annoy us. Because everyone who watches [adult swim] knows the anime is the backbone of their entire programming schedule.

im a fifteen yrold girl and i live to watch my anime on in the wee hours of the morning=] these stupid shows are very rude. and i understand there on late at night FPR THT REASON. but there still trash(but ths MY opinion). the only reason ppl watching [adult swim] is to watch there faveorite carttoon. so we shuldent have problems with other shows because you have to rember someone somewhere loves that show. and to ppl tht think anime is a very bad way of drawing anime;;its a style of art;;just like the shows you watch are nown as a style of art. ppl have there opinions. and u ppl sit there sayong tht there shuldent be anime just those other cartoons;; and then u get madd when we say there should just be anime! geez there both on there because ppl watch both. {adult swim} arent gonna change the scheduling for one group of ppl.
Let's face it, Adultswim is somewhat behind as far is anime is concerned. Besides that we are the minority so they are gonna show something that we get the majority
