WE already know why he killed his whole clan beacuse he wanted to test his abilities and strength.
Probably not as he hate's his brother for murdering the clan and he is far more sensitive then Itachi. Saying that I do think Sasuke has far greater potential than Itachi and Kyuubi has said that Sasuke has more malice than himself.
Unfortunately Sasuke has such strong powers that it could corrupt him but Naruto and Sakura would do everything they can to get Sasuke back and if Sasuke did turn out like Itachi I'm sure Sakura and Naruto will be there to stop him do something he will later regret.
i know there's got to be a reason why itachi killed his clan,not just to test his ability,i think uchiha madara(founder of uchiha clan,also a member of akatsuki) has something to do with it.
back to your question:i think he will ask his brother why id he do that(my opinion)
i hope sasuke will go back to naruto and sakura and also to konoha
