In the anime series of Naruto, he does not find out about his past/family.
In the manga series of Naruto, he also doesn't learn about his past/family, but the audience does learn about it by Jiryaya's memory.

I am pretty sure he does. From what i've heard the fourth was his dad, but im not completely sure.

it was in the manga...i forgot though...sorry...oh! he was really surprised and he found out from the akatsuki leader pein...he said that he was naruto's father and the fourth's face was there! i'm not sure if its fake or its after the fight in the manga (the latest one)
Later on Kishimoto might show us in the Manga that he finds out about his true past. So far in Shippuden and the Manga, no he doesn't know a thing!
