well I'm not really sure what your getting at. Barney and Elmo are characters created for children to teach them everything from their colors, letters and numbers to what it means to have feelings and how to treat others. It's not really meant to teach society anything as a whole, unless ofcourse you were referring to childrens society in particular which you would have called children I imagine. Do you have any idea how confusing this question of yours really is???
