FLCL is funny and is great. It has action romance and a great story. It is only 6 episodes long though.
Wolf's rain is my all-time favorite anime. It is long enough to have a complex yet good story line but not so long that it jsut gets repetitive. It doesn't have too much romance. It is part action and part drama. Great.
Fullmetal alchemist isn't my cup of tea but it is very well written and...idk what the word is. You should watch it. It is pretty long.
Eureka 7 is awesome. It is romance and action. It is kinda long but not very long. It is like..when you finish it's like you wanna see more but its such a great ending you know?
