if he woul have known he would have trained vey hard to become the 6th Hokage but naruto should have a clue about who his father is because hes probllay heard one of the elders or Jiraya talk about his fathers physical traits

The elders must have kept it a secret from him for so long to protect him. It's hard to explain why your own father sealed a beast inside of you.
