Question: why was Daredevil a fugitive? I haven't read Daredevil yet, and it has been gnawing at me, this is long before the S.H.R.A., so im lost. Also, what is a good starting place for me to start the current Daredevil series(issue number).

really DD was being framed for a murder and the fact of being Matt Murdock (being a lawyer--conflict of interest)...turns out it was trumped up by an FBI agent with an
axe to grind--and a good place to start with DD is #100 of the current series!

Daredevil is a fugitive because he didn't take part in the superhero registration act....
Since you are new to Daredevil, the best way to start on the current DD series are those DD comics created in 2006, Civil War (a marvel crossover title in 2006) is also a good source.....
