Wolverine by far. His methods may not be as "honorable" as Supermans, but Superman is an ego driven jerk.
I mean think about this Superman is pretty much all powerful. Yet he still lets his foes beat him up a bit, cause a lot of death and destruction so he can look good when he does beat them. I call that being a jerk.
Also look at the Superman returns movie..... he struggled to keep up with that falling plane???? Thats just wrong Superman is way faster then that, and then he had to put the plane down in the middle of a packed stadium???? Messing up the game that was being played????? It was all Ego.
So i still stay Wolverine.
This is a terrible comparison. Wolverine is the cooler by about 9 million %, cuz lets face it Super man is lame.
That being said, he's pretty much a jerk, Superman is a better superhero because he's more selfless and all about saving the innocent. Wolverine would save someone if he happened to be in the area, but wouldn't go looking for people to save.
wolverine is way cooler. superman wears tights and his underwear on the outside.

I dodge speeding bullets by throwing people in front of me and my body is stronger than steel because i hide behind an iron frying pan when the wife is throwing wine bottles at me!

Wolverine was cool... 15 years ago. Superman is timeless. Superman is my answer.

Its Wolverine for sure.The guy just never gives up even after all he has suffered over the years physically and Mentally ,He will go into a fight even if he knows there is a small chance that he may win it.He contains the berserker rage with in himself .Superman is invulnerable he knows he cant be hurt when he flies into gunfire or a burning building.

start with the older of the two.... wholesome to a fault... 'super' in every way... from manners, to strength... so frail and weak at the same time... he can stop a bullet.. but can't stop the man in the apartment next door from beating the woman, not without having trouble... of all sorts.. I seem to remember that even the one beat on in the sotry I am referring to got mad.. anyway he was violating laws when he tried... which he can't do... he would have been deemed 'dangerous' "where would you stop..? how much right do you have?" all from his 'super hearing'... so much of what makes a human, human.... and makes the alien super-man as down to earth human as any... and he keeps the values, manners of a naive child.. of a boyscout... the nice guy all women wish to find (with all that strength and flying... and.....) and the muscles all men want to have... with a super neat curl in his hair! ;>
wolverine on the hand... mutant... oucast... so much to turn him bitter.. down to his own countrymen using him... twisting and manipulating his body to turn him into a lethal weapon of astounding fighting abilities... able to heal as he goes...... as though he were an item.... a possession... all this...could have turned him so bitter toward non-mutants.. and yet.. he has enough heart and soul to allow for the idiots of the world... and enough compassion to stop and lend a hand to help those who can't help themselves.. and he would, will has and does go 'out of his way' contrary to what some people believe.. it is hard not to identify with a character like this... of course, it doesn't hurt that he is the brooding "James Dean" attitude... "leader of the pack" rough -n- tough got no heart to show.. but the tender teddy under it all... sigh... lol... that 'badboy' persona we are drawn to.. with the tenderness, the kindness and heart that is never in reality accompanied by the 'badboy' persona.... and his claws come outta his knuckles man!! kewl!!
can't I say both? why not? then I have to go with age before beauty.... outta respect... they are both great though...

Wolverine is more likable because he has a chip on his shoulder from his past, and he has the tough guy persona.
Superman is a better hero because what he stands for is timeless and is the example every hero follows.
Well from a totally unbiased position since I don't care for either, I'm going to say Superman.
Yes, he may wear tights but he also tries to do good for the sake of the planet that sort of adopted him. He's a hero that people look up to and it doesn't act like they should or that he's above them.
Wolverine is good at natural mayhem and has his healing power but I can never seeing anyone giving him the respect that Superman gets.
To answer your actual question. Superman IS BY FAR the better Superhero. Wolverine, however is the more interesting of the two.
