Why do all sports anime copy Captain Tsubasa?!
Question: Captain Tsubasa is the best sports anime ever, it was the 1st to have trademark moves and exaggerated techniques and all that. Prince of Tennis and all are copying it.

I don't think Prince of Tennis, etc. sports anime are copying it, i think they are just making different sports ones. Captain Tsubasa was pretty good, they even made shoes that had him on it! I saw them in one of my japanese magazines >.< ..but i dont think that .. just because it has exaggerated techniques doesn't mean its copying captain tsubasa.. what anime doesn't have exaggerated techniques?
Sports anime is a genre, much like Magical Girl and Mecha. All genres of anime have a formula which most titles in the genre follow. For example, Magical Girl anime has this formula: normal girl finds out she has magic powers, magic powers must be used to save the world/friends, girl gets sidekick/partner who is a guy that she falls in love with, girl saves the world and gets the guy. The same formula is used for Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, Pretear, Mermaid Melody, Wedding Peach, Princess Tutu, and countless others.
Sports anime are not copying Captain Tsubasa, they are just following the formula. Captain Tsubasa is much like Sailor Moon for magical girl. Gundam for mecha, Dragon Ball Z for action, and whatever other genres and breakthrough anime there are.
