Question: married from day one! now storm and black panther are married, neither books are hurting in sales. is the real problem a simple lack of creativity? instead of blaming spiderman being married maybe marvel needs to STOP REHASHING VILLAINS over and over again!!! seriously, when was the last ORIGINAL villian spiderman fought? the spot? the answer?? THAT was the real prob with spiderman!not enough VILLAINS!

I think the issue with Reed and Sue(they actually married in the middle of the series. They were dating at the start) is that the FF is considered as Marvel top Family so they're expected to be married. Storm and T'Challa were married for image sake and reader sale as no mention of their past ever came up until they needed them married and once that grows stale it will be either reversed or something else.
Spider-Man, to Marvel, is always supposed to be a young man who can appeal to the new readers. Having him married to a super-model might have made him not as appealing. I have no clue. I do think that there should have been a better way to reinvent his character without reversing how many years of history? Better villains, maybe. Better writers, maybe. But always when Marvel is in doubt they pop out Mpehisto and they make a deal and presto, things get changed.
Now, we'll see how long it lasts.
Well I happen to enjoy the bad guys even though I think a new one would be nice. Venom is god, next to Carnage. I do think that Pete was better with Mary J and Felicia though, I think the married thing just got tiring for them to write. They're pro'lly just doing this to write in a new girl.
