im pretty obsessed =]

lets see... ive been in love with anime for 4 years now and have seen more than 100 series. right now, i have about 230ish manga's and about 50 yaoi <3 <3
i collect anime cd's (like inuyasha, fruits basket, fma, etc... i have 5) and anime (i have inuyasha season 1 and 2 box set, seasons 2 and 3 and some of 4 in single DVD. i have the box season of gravitation, green green and sukisho, abd all of the inuyasha movies, card captor, sailor moon, and some miyazaki movies)
my room is full of anime posters, wall scrolls and pics. (Seriously) ^^ i have an inuyasha callender and the inuyasha figures (sango, sesshomaru, black haired inuyasha, white haired inuyasha, sango and miroku) i have anime plushes (kyo, momiji, 2 inuyasha's, 1 black haired inuyasha, 1 inuyasha with sword, shippo and miroku)
i collect merchandise from anime as well (leaf village head band, sand gloves, sharingan contacts, go board from hikaru no go, cards from naruto and inuyahsha, death note and naruto wallets, tons of inuyasha and trigun keychains and patches)
i also have the "art of inuyasha" book and collect month shoujo beat magazines.
i buy games based off of animes (like inu, bleach, fma, naruto, dbz, etc...)
i also draw my own short (Really short ^^ lol!) manga and write manga novels.
if i even HEAR the word "anime" my ears will perk and i find myself listening to whatever is being said.
i go on veoh to talk with anime lovers that i dont evenknow instead of myspace where all my friends from school are (my best friend hates that... lol!)
i watch anime and read manga everyday. my life is completelly surrounded in it. anime is my life =]

it has gotten me into learning japanese and writing manga novels, as well as learning to draw manga style (and others), writing poetry and becoming obsessed with japan (from histpry to technology, i <3 japan)
anime changed my personality (im more happy now ^^) and it also made me a more open minded person. if not for anime, i would have never been obsessed with things like video games and yaoi (yaoi is the <3 of my life!)

to put it plain and simple, i just love anime!

16 i love anime i watch anything good bleach, naruto, case closed (big titles) id say im not very addicted.

I'm not necessarily obsessed with anime, but I like the creative differences it brings to the United States. I like the various type of stories told, which can vary from different folk lores and myths, which somewhat make me what to do my own comic/manga. I simply watch it and enjoy it as a hobby.

Not in the extremes like some people, but let's just say i watch more anime than i do t.v.

Probably started when i first watched guyver, which i had forgotten was my 2nd anime after Akira.

From there i moved onto Trigun and neon genesis, and the rest is too obvious to speak of.

p.s; 20, i watched Akira @ about 14.

im 18 and have a 14 yr old sister. we have hundreds and hundreds of animes/mangas, no more room for regular books. if we cant find a volume we go all around town to find the volume or dvd. Our life and rooms revolve around anime and the culture. We have asian fans lanterns swords(inuyashas) a giant anime painting, my sister draw anime and creates her own. We have clay works of aniem characters Handmade by us... Uhmmm my sister will go to the bookstore and read for hours haha

im not even close to being an adict but my boyfriend likes them alot and we have about 20 diff ones. we watch them once in a while. i like like spawn and vampire hunter d and stuff like that. i am 21 years old.

I saw my first anime at the age of 6 (didn't know it was an anime). I got into anime my 8th grade year. I am now 22, still into anime and never see myself ever losing interest in it. When I was packing last year I had one tub just for manga and three tubs for my anime dvds and vhs; one of those tubs is still in storage.

wow, good question...
I love anime, I started to like it when I was 12 yrs old, my older brother was a true addict and I used to make fun of him everytime till he made me an addict too, lol, he insisted to let me watch a good anime and that was detective conan, well I used to watch detective conan dubbed when I was even younger I loved that anime, so he brought the original version of it, and believe me I just loved it.... but not anime overall -_-
after watching all the episodes of detective conan besides the movies I stopped watching, so my brother forced me to watch another strange anime, now this time he brought a fully new anime, an anime that I don't know of unlike detective conan which I watched before, I actually didn't plan on watching new anime, I wanted to stop, so I watched that new anime from the last scenes I found it awful and refused to watch anymore.... but who'll convince my brother?! he forced me to watch it again from the beginning, so when I played the episode he sat with me to make sure that I watch it correctly (lol) and believe me.... from that moment I loved something called "anime" and I became an anime addict XD, oh yeah btw that new anime was "death note".... and it's my favourite besides one piece which I saw later, no actually I saw one piece before death note, but I watched it in Italian dubbed so I didn't understand anything lol :p, after watching death note I watched the original version of one piece and it's the best anime!
p.s. I haven't watched tons and tons of anime yet, so I'm not a great fan of anime, but I love it <3
my age?! well, I'm 15 soon to be 16 : )

I am 20 and I have over 60 dvds and I never watch any other type of tv show unless its the news or cold case files. Thats how much I love anime

I'm 23, and I've been a serious fan since I was 12 years old (1997). I had watched some anime before then (since age 3 onwards), but that was the year I discovered Sailor Moon, and that was when I truly became a "fan," instead of just someone who watched anime.

In the past decade, I've see over 300 anime. I watched dubs for a few years, but tired of them quickly, and I have now been watching subs only for about 7 years (and it's really surprising how much Japanese a person can pick up without even trying! I could practically carry on a conversation at this point). These days I watch more anime than ever, and I've been averaging about 40 series a year for the past 3 years or so. I also watch about a dozen anime movies each year (my favorite director is Satoshi Kon).

I closely follow premiers in Japan, and before each new anime season (of which there are four), I carefully go through the list of all the new series that will be premiering that season and choose which ones I will be following via fansubs. Since the winter and summer season are usually when the "B grade" series air, I don't usually follow many then. This season (winter), which just started last week, I will be following only 6. The spring and fall season are when the really good stuff airs, and I'll usually pick up over a dozen during both of those seasons. If I have extra time between the new stuff, I watch "classic" anime as well. I make sure to watch at least some anime everyday. My personal "rule" is an hour minimum, but I've been known to watch as many as 5 hours a day on occasion.

For several years, I compulsively collected anime related merchandise. For a while, I was spending $600+ a year on merchandise alone (not counting actual anime or manga). Every square inch of my walls were covered in something anime, and I had to keep buying more and more shelves to hold all of my figures, magical girl sticks, etc. These days, I don't collect as much because I have "grown up" expenses to take care of (unfortunately), as well as my two dogs. My stuff is still all on "display," and I still buy the occasional figure or keychain, but I've stopped the crazy collecting I did in the early years!

My favorite male seiyuu is Jouji Nakata (I have actually watched some series just because he was in them...), and my favorite female seiyuu is Kikuko Inoue (Mamiko Noto being a very close second). I also love manga, and my favorite manga-ka are Kouta Hirano, Kaoru Mori, and CLAMP.

So...I'm pretty obsessed, have been for over 10 years, and likely will be for some time. Obsessed as I am though, I'm one of the most "normal" anime fans I know. I don't use random Japanese words in everyday speech, or posses any of the other peculiarities anime fans often develop. I'm pretty normal...I just happen to really, really, REALLY love anime.

i'm pretty much obsessed. ok i first started when i was about 3 to 4 years old, my older cousins would always watch those meccha anime such as: voltes 5, and daimos. anime were really popular in the philippines, so there were more anime that i watched i think those were shojo anime, like daddy long legs, sara the little princess, and remi think. when i was about 5 years old, i was hooked on watching dragon ball z, i wouldn't miss an episode of it on this channel we always watched on, and also sailor moon!^^ i even collected text cards that were used to play as a game, about a month my text cards collection could fill a large lunch box. when i was about 7 there was anime like yuyu hakusho, and flame of recca, i liked those anime so much! then there's was all those dubbed anime in tagalog, such as: hajime no hippo, detective conan, and slam dunk. that was when i was about 9 years old. i forgot the other details, but now that i'm 15 and living in the united states, i still like anime. i think i've watched about 100s of anime. i would always draw many anime characters, my classmate said that i might have potential, but i just say it is my hobby, not a profession.

actually because of true obssesion(what would you call it?^^) i'm creating my own manga. i'm planning to publish it, three years from now. however, let me just talk about now^^ i still watched a lot of anime, and at school there's some guys that also likes anime, so i would talk to them. it was so funny, some people don't even know what we are talking about. XD

i collect posters, and manga. i can't really afford a lot of those, because my family is poor. if i would have a job when i'm 16, i'll save some of my money, and i'll take some of the money to buy manga, dvds, and a lot of posters.

if you see my pages/profiles from different sites, i have lots of pictures of anime, i always go to yahoo answer to answer questions, and to forums to talk about anime. even my background is anime related.

age 25. not sure if I can say I am an addict. I do watch various animes and have attended anime conventions but there are many animes that simply didnt hold my interest or felt wasnt done very well. But I also watch star trek, house, and play video games. I am what you would call a general geek instead of a geek in one department.

I'm not obsessed because I have other things to attend to like college. And I'm 19. I started watching anime in 4th grade (DBZ, Pokemon, etc).

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big anime fan though.

My faves:

Gundam Wing
Yu Yu Hakusho
Rurouni Kenshin
Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Tenchi Muyo
Outlaw Star
Dragonball Z
Ronin Warriors

i used to love cartoons (i.e looney tunes, all that kids' stuff) until i watched Inuyasha on TV. hence on, i prefer watching Japanese anime to cartoons

I'm 12 years old and I've been addicted to anime since I was like 6. The first anime I watched was CCS. From then on, I kept on watching it. Until I started to watch some other animes like Detective Conan, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Rorounin Kenshin, Kin-iro no Corda, Shakugan no Shana, Gakuen Alice, and many more! I kept collecting stuff about them. Usually pictures, stickers, stories.....hehe

I'm 16 1/2 and very addicted to anime.
I started to love it when I watched Sailor Moon when I was 10(almost 7 years ago!)

I am totally obsessed!
I remember watching a lot of animes when I was little (Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Spirited Away etc.) but my obsession started when I was 12.
It started when I watched Tokyo Mew Mew!
After I found out that my friend liked TMM too I got even more obsessed!
She then told me to watch Mermaid Melody and I loved it!
After finishing it I stumblde upon a clip from Full Moon wo Sagashite.
So I decided to watch it and I was addicted to it!
I watched the series over and over in a matter of 4 days and then I read the whole manga in 2 days!
Then I came on here asking for recomendations.
Someone suggested Ouran High School Host Club and it sounded good so I decided to watch it! I loved it! I still rewatch episodes!
Then I watched Fruits Basket and fell in love with that one too!
Now I will rewatch episodes, read the mangas, draw pictures of my fav characters, come on here and basicaly search for any question anime related, I learn like all the songs from each of the animes, and I'm in the process of getting all my friends who haven't watched anime to watch some cuz anime is awesome!!!!
Anime Rocks!
