Why is Japanese Animation/Comics obsessed with looking up girls skirts ?!

Japanese men like to look up girl's skirts. I hear it happens in Tokyo a lot.
Maybe because the writers plan to make it more interesting. But they shouldn't look at the girls skirts. They don't like it. Men should be more gentle when it comes to females. Once they treat girls with respect and trust, then they should respect men.

Well, it's not the men's fault to begin with. In Japanese High School the length of skirt shows social status as well. The shorter the skirt the more popular the girl is. ^_^
So the girls with the shortest skirts would usually be the queen bees or the popular ones. They're of course considered "loose" and this is just somewhat an open invitation. Their skirts so short that you don't even need to try to peek, girls could bent a certain way and you get to see everything. LOL!

1. not in all animes you get panty-shots
2. yes, some of the anime characters ARE pretty young, and the drawing style even makes them look younger
3. idk if art copies reality, or if reality copies art - but just take a look at the real Japanese girls: their skirts are really short...
4. if you find it pervers or weird, don't watch these anime!
